Mrs. Sibley’s Weekly Newsletter – 10/28/2021
Happy Thursday, Families!
It was a busy week in 2nd grade! We had Art Masterpiece on Monday, where they got to make Cursive Monsters! It was a lot of fun to watch their creativity form from the letters in their names. We have also been studying poetry this week and talking about rhymes & rhythms. We also had a math assessment today about double digit addition. Tomorrow will be reviewing what we have learned so far and completing our “surgery (contraction surgery)”. If you could please provide disposable gloves, disposable masks, and Band-Aids to make it even more fun!
Next Week’s Curriculum:
We will be continuing our lesson into poetry and creating some poems with a focus on rhyming words! We will also dive into working on some more stories with a definitive beginning, middle & end.
We will be reviewing the spelling words as of now and continue working on our site words.
We will begin working on our double digit subtraction next week and learning different strategies to understand how to solve for the answers.

It’s hard to believe, but October is almost over! Will you donate this month to our classrooms/campus? While funds last, enter the promo code OCTOBER at checkout and your donation will be doubled. My classroom was already blessed with some flexible seating, but I would love to be able to offer technology as a station!
