HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

THE STUDENTS HAD SOOO MUCH FUN TODAY AT THE FIELD TRIP! I have some sleepy kids right now in class! 🙂

New Information:

• Gifted testing is coming up. All 2nd grade students participate in this test! 🙂

This Week:

• We:
  • began our new literature unit and talked about heroes
    • we read about Cesar Chavez this week and discussed why people may think he is a hero
  • celebrated Valentine’s Day and compared non-fiction vs fiction texts around the day
  • continued our math unit into triple digit subraction
  • began a new chapter book: Magic Tree House – The Knight at Dawn

Next Week:

• Spelling Words: soil, broil, moist, point, toil, oil, toy, joy, coin, noise, crown, mound, I’ll, laugh, maybe
