Mrs. Sibley’s Weekly Email – 8/1/2021
Happy Sunday, Families!
It was such a pleasure meeting many of you at the Open House on Monday, as well as beginning to work with your children this week! We had a great first week!
Some of the highlights were:
- Starting 2nd grade science – learned about how scientists may classify animals and the importance of wondering
- Read some great new school year books – First Day Jitters, We Don’t Eat Our Classmates, A Letter From Your Teacher, What If Everybody Did That?
- Worked as a team on a hands-on project – they had to make a tower with index cards and tape
This upcoming week:
- We will be starting our English & Math curriculum
Some reminders:
- Please ensure that they are wearing tennis shoes as they will have PE every day.
- Please remember our nut-free policy for lunches. Also, there are no microwaves available for student use. Lastly, students must bring any utensils they may need.
- Please pack a healthy, quick, non-messy afternoon snack each day.
- Please don’t forget water bottles.
I am very much looking forward to another wonderful week! Do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions that you may have!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Sibley
