Happy Thursday, Families!

I hope you are all staying healthy! 🙂 We have been busy this week learning coins! Please give them a challenge and help them count piggy banks, change at stores…! This week in ELA, we have been learning about how kids in different countries are different! Tomorrow, we will be learning about Martin Luther King Jr.! Our goal for next week is to work on staying on task so that we can get through a lot this quarter! 🙂

Please note…

  • MONDAY IS AN OFF DAY – Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • TUESDAY IS 100 DAYS OF SCHOOL – If your kid would like to participate, please have them dress up as a 100 year old.

Next Week’s Curriculum:

We will be continuing with Unit 4 of our Wonders Curriculum. We have been talking about how children around the world live differently. This will include: realistic fiction, helping verbs, book titles similes, prefix, suffix, and linking verbs.

Spelling words: clerk, herd, first, skirt, stir, churn, hurt, burst, work, worse, know, wrist, found, from, today. We are reviewing letter blends: er, ir, or & ur. 🙂

Also, we will continuing learning about time & money next week!

Volunteers (Volunteers need Fingerprint Clearance Cards):

Classroom Volunteers: Please email me if you would like to volunteer in the classroom. We could always use help with leading a reading group. 🙂

We need a new Art Masterpiece Volunteer to do once a month art. 🙂 Please let me know if you are able to do this.
