Happy Thursday, Families!

I hope you are all staying healthy! 🙂 We have been busy this week continuing our learning about counting coins and dollars! Please give them a challenge and help them count piggy banks, change at stores…! This week in ELA, we are reading stories about how children are different around the world! Our story this week was different kid games around the world! Our continued goal for next week is to work on staying on task so that we can get through a lot this quarter! 🙂

Please note…

  • Next Wednesday, 1/26, is a 1/2 day!
  • Our upcoming field trip is on Friday, March 11th (the Friday before break) to the Arizona Science Center. They will require masks. Formstacks and more information will be out soon.

Next Week’s Curriculum:

We will be continuing with Unit 4 of our Wonders Curriculum. Week 3 & 4 will focus around how the earth changes. This will include: expository texts that tie in with our science standards, plural nouns, and proper nouns.

Spelling words: port, north, more, store, oar, roar, board, part, start, park, first, hurt, ago, carry, people. We are reviewing letter blends: or, ore, and oar. 🙂

Also, we will learn about telling time next week!

Volunteers (Volunteers need Fingerprint Clearance Cards):

Classroom Volunteers: Please email me if you would like to volunteer in the classroom. We could always use help with leading a reading group. 🙂

We need a new Art Masterpiece Volunteer to do once a month art. 🙂 Please let me know if you are able to do this.
