Happy Wednesday, Families!

We have been busy this week learning about time! Please give them a challenge and ask them to read watches or clocks (do we still have those in the house?)…! This week in ELA, we are reading stories about how the world around us changes! Our story this week was about the ocean and erosion! Our continued goal for next week is to work on staying on task so that we can get through a lot this quarter! 🙂

Please note…

  • Our upcoming field trip is on Friday, March 11th (the Friday before break) to the Arizona Science Center. They will require masks. Payment is due February 18, 2022! https://yqysjrrxph.formstack.com/forms/arizona_science_center_2nd_grade

Next Week’s Curriculum:

We will be continuing with Unit 4 of our Wonders Curriculum. Week 3 & 4 will focus around how the earth changes. This will include: expository texts about wildfires and volcanoes and reviewing contractions.

Spelling words: deer, cheers, steer, here, jeer, near, ear, dear, clear, spear, store, north, again, house, inside. 🙂

Also, we will learn numbers to 1,000 next week!

Volunteers (Volunteers need Fingerprint Clearance Cards):

Classroom Volunteers: Please email me if you would like to volunteer in the classroom. We could always use help with leading a reading group. 🙂

We need a new Art Masterpiece Volunteer to do once a month art. 🙂 Please let me know if you are able to do this.
