Happy Thursday, Families!

It was so nice to have your students back in class this week! We have been busy this week working on word problems in math, as well as long u’s (mule, fule, fuse, few…) in ELA! We read an amazing expository text about a young children’s choir, who performed at The White House and some Hollywood awards shows! We also discussed New Year’s Resolutions and what they did over break! It sounds like they had a blast over holiday break! Our goal for next week is to work on staying on task so that we can get through a lot this quarter! 🙂

Next Week’s Curriculum:

We will be begin working on Unit 4 of our Wonders Curriculum. This will include: realistic fiction, similes, prefix, suffix, and linking verbs.

Spelling words: comb, crumb, scene, scent, gnat, sign, knife, know, wrist, writing, first, music. We are reviewing silent letters: wr, kn, gn, mb, sc. 🙂

Also, we will begin learning about time & money next week!
