Happy Thursday, Families!
It has been another busy week in 2nd grade! We have break from September 25th– October 10th! Following break, we have 3 half days where we have parent teacher conferences (11th, 12th, & 13th)! Please make sure you sign up below!
When we come back from break, we are very excited for our field trip to Schnepf Farms on October 14th. We will have a guest teacher for all of 2nd grade for any students that weren’t able to sign up. Just a reminder for chaperones, please make sure to apply for a Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Monday 10/11 – Rainbow and Tie Dye Day!

Thursday 10/14 – Twin Day! – Due to field trip, please have them wear their STCS shirt and closed toed shoes
Friday 10/15 – Super School Spirit Day!
Parent Volunteers:

Art Masterpiece Volunteers:
We are looking for some volunteers to help out at Art Masterpiece. Please sign up at the following link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0f4fa8ae22a5fbc07-artmasterpiece. Also, we have an amazing Art Masterpiece coordinator but we are looking for one more. Please let me know if this is something you are interested in and I can have someone reach out to you with more information.
Paper Drive:
Our annual beginning of the year paper drive is in full effect starting this week. The classroom who has the most can receive a $100.00 reward for a classroom fund. Write Mrs. Sibley on the paper and send it to the front office.
Yellow Notebooks (Agendas):
Ask your student about their yellow notebooks at night! They are writing 2 things in there that they have learned throughout the day, grammar sentences in the morning, and writing prompts. Feel free to add any notes to support your student as well! This is just a great way for you to connect with what your student is learning!
Green Folders:
Every Friday, we will be sending home a green folder with your student. Students should be bringing them back on Monday. Please go through these with your students as I try to make notes. In the folder there is work that they should keep at home. I have also added any work in there that they did not complete throughout the week. I appreciate all of your support as I am providing extra time after lunch (besides morning arrival and dismissal time) to work on sheets that they had not yet completed.
Google Classroom:
Thank you to all the parents who have signed their students into Google Classroom. I have had about 19 students signed in so I am still waiting for about 6 more. Please let me know if you have any questions or are unable to get onto Gmail as I can have administration reset passwords.
